The Journey

The Journey

Deliverance Church Kiangu

Our Beginning

Deliverance Church Kiengu was founded on 19th December 1999 with the vision of winning souls and leading people to Christ within Kiengu and its surrounding communities. The ministry began through door-to-door evangelism led by Reverend Samuel Mithika together with the late Beatrice Mithika. Their passion was simple but powerful — to reach every household with the message of the gospel.

Within two years of consistent outreach, door-to-door evangelism and open-air meetings, the church had reached nearly three-quarters of the population in the area. As the congregation grew, more disciples joined the evangelistic work, expanding the reach of the ministry and strengthening the mission of spreading the gospel.

Church Planting Journey

2006

Deliverance Church Karama was planted as the first daughter church, marking the beginning of the church planting vision.

2013

Deliverance Church Thambiro was established as the ministry continued expanding into neighboring communities.

Later Growth

The church planted Deliverance Church Kiutene and Deliverance Church Kawiru within the same season of expansion.

Further Expansion

Additional churches were planted including Deliverance Church Muringene, KK, Maili Tatu, Gakorine, and Iveshe in Embu County.
